Jazz-By-The-Bay Festival. The Gulf Jazz Society will stage a two-day; free jazz festival, October 22-23 in the historic St. Andrews section of Panama City, FL. This event, the tenth annual Jazz-By-the Bay Festival, will be staged in the waterfront Oaks-By-The-Bay Park, a centerpiece of this revitalized community. Ghost Walk & History Tour ~ October 9 Ghosts, spooks, pirates and witches will be hanging out at Camp Helen State Park, Saturday, October 9th. And everyone is invited to join them for an adventuresome evening of continuous storytelling and historic reenactment from 5:00 - 8:30pm. New stories, pre-tour entertainment and activities are being planned for this year's events. Costumes are encouraged and flashlights are recommended. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
Haunted House ~ October 14-30 Be brave and come to the annual Jaycees haunted house! Each Thursday, Friday and Saturday the haunted house will be open from 7-10pm. Admission is $5 on Thursdays and $7 Friday & Saturdays.
Scarecrow Festival ~ October 20-30 Get into the Halloween spirit! Starting on October 20th, scarecrows will start appearing in the Historic St. Andrews community in preparation for the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, October 30th in Oaks by the Bay Park. Scarecrows entered in the contest will be placed along Beck Avenue and public spaces from October 20th - October 30th. The festival will also include activities for the whole family including: games, storytelling, entertainment under the gazebo, a trick-or-treat trail and much, much more!!
Haunted Trail & Pumpkin Patch ~ October 22-23 The event will be open to the public from 4pm until 10pm both nights. The Haunted Trail will be open for victims, uh, we mean "visitors" at dark. This fun, family-oriented event gives every family member, regardless of age, a great way to celebrate the season, from the Pumpkin Patch and the Peek-A-Boo Trail for the youngest ones, to the Creepy Cabins and the Haunted Trail for the older ones. A costume contest runs both nights of the event and is one of the largest children's costume contests in Bay County!
Halloween Dance ~ October 29 The Panama City Beach Senior Center will be holding a Halloween dance. Dance to your favorite CD. Lots of fun and games: Fortune Telling Treasure Hunt. Wear your favorite costume or come as you are and join us for all the fun.
Annual Halloween Spooktacular ~ October 30 It's the annual Halloween Spooktacular at Borders! Kids ages 3 to 8 are invited to join in on the fun! We'll read scary stories, play spooky games, do a creepy craft and top it all off with a terrifying parade! Costumes are encouraged!
Toys for Kids Halloween Bash ~ October 30 Spinnaker Beach Club will host the annual Toys for Kids Foundation Halloween Bash - This annual event benefits the Toys for Kids Foundation's goal of helping children in Bay County that may not be able to have a pleasant holiday season, and is one of several events held throughout the year that benefits the organization.
ZooBoo ~ October 30 Dress your kids up in their spookiest costume and head over to ZooWorld for some fun entertainment! ZooBoo is offering trick-or-treating from 4:30pm to 8pm with the last admittance to the park at 7:30pm. Costume contests for kids through age 15!
Malloween ~ October 30 Trick or Treating through Pier Park! Also offering a hay bale maze and costume contests for the kids. 6 pm to 7 pm.
Halloween at Schooners ~ October 31 Schooners, the last local beach club, has become something of a Halloween tradition. Everybody turns up to see the scary decorations that get crazier every year, bats, monsters, ghosts, witches, lights, fog, coffins, tombstones, and that's just on the outside! Friday, Halloween Eve there will be the Great Jack O Lantern Carving Contest! Kids and grown-ups alike are invited to bring their most creative carved pumpkins from home between 6-8pm for a chance to win great prizes! On Halloween is the annual Schooners Halloween Bash!
Halloween Carnival ~ October 31 There will be a Halloween carnival at Sheffield Park from 5:30-8:30pm.
